1. Radio Physics & Dark Room Procudeures by - Dr. L L Gupta

It is rightly said that the "DARK ROOM" is the Heart of Xray Department. This is the only place where a Radiograph's quality is controlled. Some times even with correct Exposure factors & absolute proper positioning you may not get the quality Radiograph unless it is properly processed by a trained person.
Processing a film is a art, as such without proper knowledge of practical as wel as theoritical knowledge about the Physics one can not process the film with a good quality
To know every thing about processing now there is a book available titled "RADIO PHYSICS & DARK ROOM PROCEDURES" written by Dr. L. L. Gupta,MD (RAD) Add
Dig. BSF.
The best part about the book is writer has taken most care to include all the necessary topics like Radiophysics GRID,FILTERS, CONTRAST and beam
Restriction in the first part and films, Cassettes developing & fixing with chemistry tips and different types of faults, defects with the remedy in the second part.

1. Clark’s Positioning in Radiography / Clark, K.C. :

The object of this book is to present in as concise & practical a form as possible to the student & to those practicing radiography the essentials of radiographic technique.Positioning is , perhaps the all important feature in radiography. Correct positioning has been illustrated photographically, & the radiographs resulting from such positioning have been included, together with occasional line diagrams & photograph of the dried bones. The positions are described in simple language and a selection of suitable exposure factors is shown for each position.

2. Radiographic Anatomy Positioning: An Integrated Approach / Cornuelle, Andrea Gauthier ;
Gronefeld, Diane H. :

This textbook was designed for the learner. It includes Pedagogical elements found in traditional text books. Chapter outlines, objectives, summaries, review questions, & film critiques. The sections on anatomy are easy to read & are presented at a level appropriate for radiographers.

3. The Application Manual / Groufeld, Diane H. ; Madigan, Mary L. :

It is a unique radiographic anatomy & positioning workbook

4. The Pocket Manual / Madigan, Mary L.; Cornuelle, Andrea Gauthier; Grouefeld, Diana H. :

This book condenses the radiographic positioning sections of the text book into a concise, easy to read format in a convenient pocket size.

5. Radiographic Imaging / DN & MO Chesney :

This is one of the useful book for radiographers. Radiographers & their patients have not changed ; radiographers have remained – and will remain – caring makers of images. This book has covered topics such as Film materials in X-ray depts.,storage of films materials & radiographs, Intensifying screens & cassettes, Film processing, some special imaging process etc.

6. Computed Tomography for Radiographers / Brooker
, M.J.

The purpose of this book is to give the reader a basic introduction to Computed Tomography. A brief review of X-ray tubes & general physics has been given. The book concentrates on the application of the Computed tomography.

7. Functional Computed Tomography / Miles, Kenneth; Dawson, Peter; Blomley
, Marlian,(ed.) :

C.T. Scan is become important part of Imaging Technique. New developments in imaging, particularly the use of computers in image acquisition & processing have been associated with the emergence of approaches at assessing disease through changes in organ function.

This new functional approach should not be competitive with structural imaging but complementary. This is exemplified by the use of Computed Tomography to image organ functions thereby combining Physiological information with the already proven benefits of Structural CT,Functional CT.

8. M.R.I.made easy / Schering :

After CT MRI is one of advanced applications of imaging.

This book was written as an introduction to magnetic resonance imaging. It is dedicated to anyone who would like to know something about M.R.I.

Indeed, it is not the objective of this book to represent , ‘ be all and end all’ of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, but rather to serve as an appetizer for further reading.

9. Radiologic Science for Technologists :Physics, Biology & Protection/ Bushong
, Stewart C. :

It is needless to say that unless you know the physics of Radiography you are not qualified radiographer. This book meets the thrust of this one.

10. Radiological Protection / Nagaratnam, A.

This book is summary Handbook of ICRP. Publications & recommendations are also in the book.
